Using the recommendations from Joe Cross's http://jointhereboot.com/reboot-program/ (Joe is the man in the documentary that inspired this crazy journey of mine called, "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead") I am planning on five days of "easing into" the juice fast by eating mostly raw veggies, 15 days of just juicing, then continuing the just juice, but adding in exercise and one organic whey protein shake with raw milk and one raw organic egg per day. I may go 90-120 days with this plan. I actually hope to do this until I am down to my goal weight. After the 15 days of just juicing, I may add eating several bites of vegetable with my juices (I have a suspicion that chewing is a valuable signal to the brain that lets it know we aren't starving and it doesn't need to slow down metabolism).
What I Expect
These are my basic expectations:
1. The first week I will lose at least 10 pounds.
2. The second week I will lose almost nothing.
3. Day 4 and 5 of this plan will be the hardest. I will have headaches, fatigue, muscle cramps, brain fog, irritability, and possibly other annoying conditions. (FYI, these will be because my body is experiencing withdrawal from sugars, carbs, and processed foods. The Candida dieoff may last quite a while.)
4. Day 6 and 7, I will begin to feel great. I will also begin to have insomnia, which may take as much as 2 weeks to work out.
5. I will become completely annoying to everyone around me as I evangelize about juicing.
